Down with capitalism!

Credits

Nothing on this site is machine-generated artwork. Everything below was made by a person and is used under a licence that permits it commercially.

This file *is* the credits page: the site renders it at /credits, linked in the footer of every page. Edit it here and the page changes — there is no second copy to keep in step, which is the point, because the licences on the icons and the type both ask that the credit travel with the work.

The club sticker

static/logo.png is the club's own sticker, supplied by the club.

Topic icons

The five topic marks — sociology, politics, nature, science, history — come from game-icons.net, a set of several thousand icons by named illustrators (Lorc, Delapouite, Faithtoken, John Colburn, Skoll and others). Per-icon authorship is listed at the source.

Used under the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Unported licence (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/), which permits commercial use and modification with credit. The icons used are three-friends, fist, oak-leaf, microscope and scroll-unfurled. They are unmodified in shape; the site recolours them and applies an SVG filter at render time.

Obtained via the @iconify-json/game-icons package. The paths are inlined into templates/_macros.html so the site carries no icon-font or CDN dependency.

Typefaces

All three are SIL Open Font License 1.1, self-hosted in static/fonts — four faces in all, since EB Garamond is set in two weights. The licence and the copyright lines ship with them: static/fonts/OFL.txt.

Book covers

Fetched at display time from Open Library using each book's ISBN. They are photographs of real book jackets served by the Internet Archive, not stored in this repository.

Everything else

The paper grain, the ink mottle and the torn, wandering edges are SVG turbulence filters — the grain and the mottle inline in static/css/style.css, the edges in templates/_svg.html — plus a few CSS gradients for the large soft blotches in the stock. All of it is procedural maths computed in the browser, not imagery.
